ABOUT ME
I'm Daniil Kozyrev — a film director whose work exists at the intersection of beauty, vulnerability, and truth.
Cinema, for me, is not just an art form — it's a way to dissect the moments that define us, to freeze emotions in time, and to invite the audience into spaces where they can see themselves reflected.
Before stepping fully into directing, I immersed myself in visual arts, photography, and music — disciplines that shaped my instinct for framing, rhythm, and mood. I see every scene as a composition where light, movement, and performance align to evoke something lasting.
I create stories not to escape reality, but to reveal it — often in its most tender, complex, and unguarded form.
VISION
My vision is to build films that breathe with authenticity, that carry both the beauty and the ache of real life. I strive to tell stories that challenge cultural boundaries, give space to voices often unheard, and remind us of our shared humanity.
APPROACH
Every project starts with listening — I work side-by-side with writers, cinematographers, and actors in a collaborative process where every voice is valued. For me, directing is about creating a shared heartbeat between everyone involved — from the crew to the audience.
